High school turns a lot of people into football fans, especially if your school's team is good. I remember going to Puyallup High with two of the famed Huard brothers (Brock and Luke, who I think are now in the NFL), and it was such fun going to the games and cheering with the fans or even doing work as the team videographer for my video productions class. I once almost got mauled on the sidelines by a tackle that went out of bounds, but I moved pretty quickly; even with the 1980's-vintage camera on my shoulder.

If your interest in football keeps up past high school, you'll never be at a loss for social opportunities on winter weekends.

I'm sure despite my intrests I'll still be at a loss for social opportunities...sometimes it's just hard to find a person to go to/share those social opportunities with....I'm all for being independent, but sometimes things are just better w/somebody with ya
