OTEP!!!
Thursday's show @ the Glass House was my FAVORITE Otep show ever.
Jennie O & i got to the GH around 8 & the 1st band, Devil Inside, was already playing. nothing really happened around the venue til Otep came out. i was fucking starving so i got some nachos which were damn good. the other bands playing were Days End & Gizmachi but we just kinda stood around, not really moving w/ the music.
Otep came on a lil after 10. though there weren't that many ppl in the room, the crowd still went pretty crazy from what i saw. they played T.R.I.C., which is 1 of my fav songs. i was fuckin moving like crazy & probably even off-beat @ times! :P oh well. i'd go into it more but i need to go to sleep & the night just went by pretty quickly. @ the end, eViL J (the bassist) & Scott (the guitarist) threw their towels into the crowd & i caught 1 of them!! i don't know whose i got but Jen said it was eViL J's. it smells so damn good, like incense...that shit's never gonna get washed. after the show we tried getting a poster but no fucking luck, though Jen asked for 1 & this guy gave it to some other girl. then a guy i "talked" to on LJ thru an Otep com came up to me & we exchanged few (nice) words, though cuz i'm an idiot nothing much was said. then i found out Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith were @ the show in the VIP area! Jen said she saw Jada's face somewhat but i didn't see anything. still, that's fuckin amazing. so we all walked out to the front of the venue & waited to get pics w/ Otep. 1st, though, we saw eViL J & shook his hand & i said, "thanks for the towel!" bah, i'm goofy. the guy on LJ & his friend left so we said bye & Jen & i stayed around. then Otep came outta the bus & talked w/ 1 person before being taken inside the venue. we stayed around & it paid off. we got to meet her & get some pics though they're pretty dark & not good. damn being too lazy to take our cameras outta the car!! but hey, a bad pic is still a pic. my fav part was getting a hug from her. she's close to my size & i could've hugged her forever. so after it all we went to Denny's to get some food before crashing @ my apartment for the night.
so we accomplished our goal of getting a pic w/ Otep. next time, we're gonna take a "regular" camera & get a poster. this was the 2nd show of us not getting a poster!!
it was a great night & it sucked that it had to end. we're hoping that there's still gonna be a show in Hollywood @ the end of the tour, but Pomona may be their only L.A. date. i kinda preferred the Glass House setting cuz the Arts Colony (2nd St.) was pretty quiet & empty when we left. little spooky, but nice. doesn't mean i'm sad to leave Pomona after this quarter ends though. :)
i don't have much else to say. meeting Otep just made my night. i could go on & on about her beauty & intelligence but there's not enough room on here nor energy in me. ahh...too much sexyness going on in 1 night, ha.
