[You know, the community housing doesn't show windows but I like to assume them, so let's say yes]

[And he... glances over there. His shades ore off, at least-]

Unfortunately not.

[Any self respecting kitchen should have a window! Where else would you cool baked goods?]

[It's the sound of gunfire that draws Xigbar to the barracks. If there's a prospective firing range in the making he wants in.

But he'll wait until Horatio's done firing before speaking up.]

[And then he... five shots. One in the upper left chest, one dead center on the hair, one in the lower center chest, one in the upper right chest, and one which got a bit stray and got lower- more like the abdomen. Unfortunate.

He then takes off his earmuffs to go inspect the results]

[Will be flopping down onto a nearby stool and propping his chin up on his hands as he munches on an apple casually] Dah yoo evah ha' anee fun? [....yeah, mouth is full]

[And he'll keep meticulously cleaning his gun. Silently, H does wish that he knew this man's last name. He almost hates having to call him James, particularly now that he's made something of an agreement with the man-]

[...Sigh. Oh well, so long as he's not getting food on his gun]

[And Caine will be done. Taking off his earmuffs, he turns to his target and... well, good times. Looking for the bullets in the bean-bags]

[It's to see if the bean-bag will even work as a firing receptacle. That and it doesn't want to excess waste... and if any of them are in pristine condition (which he doubts will be the case, given the circumstances) he can use them as an elimination sample for ballistics markings should it ever come to that]

[Simon is getting ready for training at the barracks when he hears the sound Caine's gun. He follows the sound and is astounded by what he finds. He's seen firearms, of course, but nothing like this. He watches Caine firing his gun.]

[One shot! This one into the outline's heart-area. A second! this one goes into the outline's upper right chest. And a third! This one goes into the target's lower center chest. And after that, he's going to go over there to inspect them...]

Astounding! I've never seen a gun like that. How does it fire more than once?
