Ok, so I still haven't done anything about the sitter, other than to text her some screen shots of the horrible things she said about my kids and to tell her that she is never coming near my children again. However, I feel like I need to tell her mom, right? I mean, if Abbey were saying these kind of things on Twitter, I would want to know about it

I would email her for sure. She needs to know. What a little asshole her daughter is. Omg. Yeah, I would def wanna know if my kid was posting and saying crap like that!

I agree with the email option. I would send her the screen shots so it's all clearly laid out before her eyes. And make it clear that you will not tolerate that kind of language / behavior regarding your children. Who knows, the crazy lady probably won't care what kind of crap her daughter is saying about her but at least your children won't be exposed to it.

i'm kind of passive aggressive, but I'd email her the screen shots in a fyi kind of way. That way you're not confronting her or looking for anything from her, but you're letting her know and she can do what she will with the information.

Letting the girl know you saw them and that is the reason she is no longer employed by you is probably the best thing you could have done for her... unless mom just fills in the missing spending money...

(ps - I'd want to know if it was my kid)

I would definitely email the screen shots and let her know that her daughter was out of line. That is just unacceptable. sigh.
