I hate McDonald's and I've been staying away from fast food as much as possible and I don't even consider it food. There was a Wendy's commercial that had two guys eating salads and the one guy was like "doesn't this seem a little weird? I mean two guys sitting here... eating salads..." implying that men eating salads is a gay thing. and then the other guy was like "grow up".

and as for the fairly oddparents which is what it's called and is a little bit funny sometimes; the other day i was at a friend's house and he had all the ren and stimpy DVDs (I never really watched that show when I was a kid but I did sometimes) and we were amazed at how it was supposed to be for kids. That show by itself probably fucked up a lot of people.

I'm glad you feel that way toward stereotypes/women/people in general. I wish more people felt the same way. I dislike how when people think of "feminist" they think of bitchy dykes- I consider myself a feminist, and I don't think women are better than men, or that all men are assholes. I just wish everyone had more equal rights and were treated with more tolerance- men, women, old people, children, gays, straights, crossdressers, mentally disable people, Muslims, Christians, atheists...everyone.

Emily Burr,

It sounds like you are in need of a 'fruit buzz' to calm your nerves. JK. Not only do you have to be a woman to craze a fruit and nut salad, but you also have to be black. Commercials like this didn't bother me as much until the gender bias harassment of being a woman in the field of science hit home this past year...that coupled with some inappropriate touching passed off as 'friendly gestures' from a male boss. Hang in there kiddo, and keep getting mad because too often shit like that goes unnoticed.
