“I like you, Yabu,” said Takaki, looking into Yabu’s eyes.

“Eh… Emm, I like you too, Takaki. We’re good friends after all,” Yabu tried not to see Takaki’s eyes, playing the coffee cup he held of.

“You know that’s not what I mean. I really like you, Yabu. I… love you,” Takaki gripped the older boy’s shoulder firmly, shaking it a little.

“… you too,” Yabu said in almost inaudible voice.

“What? I don’t hear it. Repeat, please,” Takaki smirked, knowing what Yabu’d say.

“I- I love you too,” Yabu felt his face blushing. He did his best to avert Takaki’s gaze. But then Takaki took the coffee cup from Yabu’s hand and placed it to the nearest table. Yabu was frowning.

“What are you do-,” Takaki had already hugged Yabu before he could finish his sentence.

“I’m so glad,” Takaki whispered into the older boy’s ear. “Say, you have any plans for Christmas Eve?”

“Christ- Christmas Eve? Mmm, no?”

“So, do you want to come to my house? My parents are out and they leave me alone. Would you spend the Christmas Eve with me?”

“Sure. I’d love to,” replied Yabu, hugging him back and leaning his head to Takaki’s shoulder.

“I can’t wait for it.”

It was almost 6.30 PM, and raining outside. Takaki was moving back and forth in his own room. He was worried, Yabu hadn’t come and yet it was raining. But then he heard the doorbell ringing. That must be him, Takaki thought, rushing to get the front door. Takaki rushed to open the door and found Yabu was soaked from head to toe.

“I’m sorry I’m late. It’s raining suddenly and I don’t bring any umbrella,” Yabu said while opening his coat. Seemed he really drenched out so that his white shirt was stuck to his body, perfect abs was visible through his shirt. Takaki couldn’t help himself but staring at Yabu’s slender body, unconsciously licking his lips.

“Takaki? Stop staring at me!” Yabu snapped him.

“Ah… Umm, no.. It’s just… I like the view you gave me here…,” Takaki smirked.

“Takaki!” pink tint crept to Yabu’s cheeks.

“Maa, you should change your clothes now. Or maybe take warm shower. I won’t you catch a cold,” Takakai led Yabu to go upstairs to his room.

“Mmm, okay. I’m really cold,” Yabu rubbed his arms to warm it a little though it was a futile attempt. It was still cold.

“Do you want me to warm you up?” Takaki teased, earning smacks on his head.

“Pervert!”

“Haha… here, it is the bathroom. You can use it. I’ll bring the towel and some clothes for you.”

Yabu entered the bathroom, and started to undress. He felt weird to be naked in someone else house. Then he heard the door was knocked, Takaki telling him from behind the door that he brought the clothes. He just opened the door a bit, and snatched the towel and the clothes form Takaki’s hand. He didn’t want Takaki saw him naked. He sighed and continued to warm himself under the shower.

What’s that? He doesn’t want me to see him that bad?

Takaki was frowning when the door was shut in front of his face. He then back to his room, waiting for Yabu to come out. He was reading magazine when Yabu came to his room, wearing his clothes with wet and tousled hair. Takaki looked up at him and then stood up to approach him. Takaki smiled at Yabu and took the towel away from Yabu hand. Then he dried Yabu’s hair.

“Takaki, I can do it by myself. You don’t need to-,” Yabu was trying to struggle abut Takaki wouldn’t let him.

“I want to. Let me do it. Beside you’re cute like this,” Takaki stopped drying Yabu’s hair and cupped his face to see it better. They were looking at each other eyes when slowly closing the distance between them. It was just an inch more before their lips touching. But then they heard the doorbell ringing and they parted themselves abruptly. They both blushed.

“I- I’ll go check it out,” Takaki stuttered a bit. He cursed whoever dared to come at such perfect time. He reached the front door and opened it, to find Chinen with an umbrella and a box grinning at him.

“Chii? What are you doing here??” Takaki asked with puzzled face.

“To spend the Christmas Eve with you of course! Yesterday you said that you’ll be alone for Christmas so I’ll tag you along~” said Chinen with sing-song tones.

“Bu- but…” Takaki was really confused right now.

“Chinen?” Yabu poked his head out to see who was come in.

“Ah, so Yabu kun’s here too?” Chinen smiled cutely.

“Well, yeah. Chi! You’re wet!” Yabu just realized that Chinen was wet and immediately approached him to take his coat off and drying him with the towel he was accidentally brought.

“Why are you coming at such weather? You can catch a cold you know!” Yabu acted motherly towards the youngest boy, still drying his hair.

“It’s fine, Yabu kun… I’m not that wet.”

“But still… Takaki, could you lend him any clothes? He can catch a cold if he doesn’t change his clothes,” he turned toward Takaki who stood dumbfounded in the corner.

“Clothes? Ah… okay…”

“Come on, Chinen. You need to change your clothes,” Yabu led Chinen to Takaki’s room. “And take a warm shower! Now!”

“But Yabu kun… I don’t need-,” Chinen started to whine but Yabu cut him off.

“No! Get into the bathroom! Or you’ll catch a cold later!” Yabu ordered with firm tone.

“Hai~” Chinen got into bathroom without second whines.

“Good, I’ll make something warm to eat.” Yabu said, when Takaki came bringing the clothes he had when he was kid so the size fit and handed it to Chinen.

“Takaki, I need to use your kitchen. May I?”

“Eh… yeah. Of course.”

“Good!” With that, Yabu left him. Then the bathroom door was opened, Chinen poked his head out.

“Ne, Takaki kun, Yabu kun is scary when he’s like that,” Chinen whined again.

“He cares about you, Chii. But seems too much,” Takaki whispered the last part to himself, but Chinen still could hear it nevertheless.

“See! Ah, I brought a cake for us. Seems I left it in the front. I need to take a shower before Yabu kun scold at me again…”

The door was closed, leaving Takaki who still dumbfounded with the situation. But then he decided to take the cake and helped Yabu in the kitchen. He entered the room, and found Yabu’s back facing him. And seemed Yabu had found Takaki’s mother’s apron and wore it. Again, Takaki unconsciously licked his lips at the sight. He placed the cake on the table and approached Yabu who was cooking something. He hugged Yabu waist from behind and whispered in his ear.

“I like to see you like this, wearing apron, cooking in my kitchen. It’s just like you are my wife and preparing meal for me and our child,” Takaki placed his chin to the older boy’s shoulder.

“Takaki! You are distracting me!”

Yabu turned his head to see Takaki’s face, but Takaki turned him instead so they were facing each other now. Takaki cornered Yabu until his back bumped the sink, still hugging his waist. Takaki lifted on of his hand to caress Yabu’s cheek, looking at his eyes lovingly.

“You know what, I really love you.” Yabu was blushing hearing Takaki’s so blunt confession, but he couldn’t avert his gaze from Takaki. And slowly, they brought themselves closer. Their lips were almost touched, but then…. Chinen barged into the kitchen with loud voice.

“Yabu~kun, what are we gonna eat?” Chinen entered the kitchen, finding Takaki who was on floor and Yabu who stood up near the sink with red face. Yabu hurried to help Takaki while apologizing.

“You don’t need to push me that hard, Yabu,” Takaki whispered and winced when Yabu was helping him to stand.

“I’m sorry. I don’t intent to push you so hard. I was surprised.”

“Why are you falling, Takaki kun?” Chinen asked and tilted his head. “Are you okay?”

“Mm, yeah. I’m alright. I was just slipped on something.”

“Oh, okay. So, what are we gonna eat?”

“Ah, I just reheat the soup that Takaki’s mom left. Is it okay, Takaki? I can make some sandwiches if you want.”

“It’s okay. And sandwiches, please. I feel so hungry suddenly.” Takaki replied.

“Yaay! And can we eat the cake now?”

“No. The cake is for later. You eat the soup and sandwiches first,” Yabu told him with firm tone. Chinen and Takaki were looking at each other, silently nodded, and something flashed on their mind, YabuMama.

They were eating happily, chatting and joking. Then they watched some christmas films, until Chinen fell asleep on the couch. Takaki carried Chinen to his room, while Yabu was calling Chinen’s mother, telling her that Chinen would sleepover at Takaki’s house. Yabu was leaning in Takaki’s door, watching Takaki put Chinen to the bed and pulling the blanket to cover the boy. Then they got out from the room.

“Finally he’s sleep. But then where will we sleep now?” Takaki asked.

“We? You mean we’re sleeping together?” Yabu flustered hearing the chance they would sleep together.

“Yeah. Don’t say that you don’t want to sleep together with me.”

“Ah.. no… it’s not that. I- I don’t mind,” Yabu stuttered, his face was really like a tomato right now.

“Good then! Mmm, we can use my parent’s room, since the bed is bigger than mine,” Takaki took Yabu’s hand, holding and leading him to his parent’s room.

And then, they already lay down on the bed, ready to sleep. But Takaki snuggled closer to Yabu, hugging him on the waist again.

“Ne, Kocchan, can we continue what we left earlier?”

“Takaki, can we just-,” Yabu’s words were cut by Takaki’s lips on his. Finally I can kiss him, Takaki thought. Yabu didn’t resist at all, even he was kissing Takaki back. They were kissing for some time until they heard knocks on the door. Takaki groaned, knowing what would happen next. Yabu got up and opened the door. Chinen entered the room and mumbled something about nightmare. Being YabuMama he was, Yabu invited Chinen to sleep with them. In the end, Chinen was sleeping between Takaki and Yabu with peaceful and angelic face. Yabu caressed his hair until he fell asleep again. And now Yabu was dealing with pouting Takaki.

“Why did you let him in?” Takaki pouted.

“I can’t help it! He’s having nightmare! How could I let him alone?”

“But what about us? I barely get chance to kiss you all day.”

“I’ll make it up to you later, okay? Now sleep!”

“Hmmph! Okay! But I’ll make you sure to make it up for me!”

“Just shut up and sleep.”

For a while, they didn’t say anything, trying to sleep. But then Takaki broke the silence.

“Ne, Kocchan, don’t you feel that we kinda like a family like this?”

“Takaki, sleep!”

“Okay. Oyasumi then.”

“Oyasumi.”
