Chapter 9
Yabu was watching some random TV shows on TV but ended up watching CMs because there were no good shows at the moment. He was so bored and got nothing to do. He wanted to go to Takaki and Chinen’s place but he knew that they were on date now and probably hadn’t come back yet.
‘They’re such a cute couple. I’ve never seen Takaki so absorbed with a certain person before. Maybe he has found his love. Ah~ now I’m left behind with no date on weekend. I should find myself a girlfriend soon, so I won’t be envy when they go on date and left me alone. Yosh! I’ll find a cute girl and-’
Yabu’s thought was interrupted with his ringing phone. Yabu got up lazily and picked up the phone.
“Hello~” Yabu answered with singsong tone.
“Kota…,” Takaki’s voice was heard.
“Ah! Yuya! I’ve just been thinking about you and Chi, you know. And now you call me! How’s your date? It must be so fun, huh? You can’t wait to report your fun date, can you? Hahaha,” Yabu babbled on and on.
“Kota….”
“Huh? What? Why your voice sounds weird?”
“They…. They’ve caught him,” Takaki voice’s was trembling.
“Eh? Who? Who has caught who?” Yabu scratched his head.
“Chi… They’ve caught him. He’s…. he’s missing,” Takaki sounded almost cry.
“They WHAT? How come? I thought Chi has disguised himself with those glasses!”
“He has… b-but seems it was useless. They still caught him in the end. What… What am I going to do now? I don’t know, Kota. My mind is gone blank now!”
“Wait, where are you now? I’ll be there in seconds!”

Yabu flicked the lamp on and entered Takaki’s apartment with the owner tailing on his back. Yabu sighed and pushed his friend into his own living room and sat him on the couch. He looked so helpless and lifeless. He didn’t cry but his eyes showed the sadness he felt. Yabu sighed once again and sat beside the said friend. It took more than ten minutes to drag him from that amusement park before he finally moved from his spot.
“Now, what are you gonna do?” Yabu asked.
“If I know what I’m gonna do, I won’t call you, damn it!” Takaki looked so frustrated.
“Okay, now, what do you wanna do then?”
“I… I just want to see him. I want him to come back here. I…. oh, I don’t know. I just want to be with him!” Takaki buried his face in his hand.
“You’ll see him. I’ll help you out. Just wait, okay,” Yabu patted his best friend’s shoulder.

It’s been 3 days since Chi was caught. Takaki had skipped his classes since then. Yabu constantly visited him but whatever Yabu’s trying to do seem didn’t give any effect. Yabu was really worried over his friend. He barely touched the food Yabu had served for him. All he had done was just dazing off and regretting his mistake for taking him on date. Yabu had convinced him that it wasn’t his fault but seemed Takaki didn’t listen to whatever Yabu had said.
“Hey, what’s up? Feel better today?” Yabu asked one day, storming into his friend’s bedroom and finding the said friend laying on the bed and staring at the ceiling.
“Horrible,” was just the only reply Yabu had. He sat on the edge of Takaki’s bed and staring at him.
“hey,” Yabu tried to catch his attention.
“What?”
“You wanna go see him?”
Hearing that sentence slipped from Yabu’s mouth, Takaki sat up and looked at his friend.
“What are you trying to tell me, Kota?” Takaki narrowed his eyes.
“Well, I got his house address. You wanna go see him?” Yabu grinned wickedly at his friend, waving a piece of paper between his fingers.
“You…. You got…. You what?” Takaki asked in disbelief as if he heard Yabu wrong.
“Yes, I got it. It’s not that hard to find his house actually, but seems they have lots of gua-” Yabu’s words were cut by Takaki hugging him.
“Kota! You’re the best friend I’ve ever had!” Takaki said, still hugging his friend. Yabu chuckled and hugged him back.
“You’re my friend. There’s no way I leave you alone with this state without helping you. You look so helpless you know! And actually you can find his home by yourself if you don’t waste your time regretting something that-” once again his words were cut.
“KOTA! Shut up for a while! You’re talking too much! Now help me to go see him!”
“What? Me too?” Yabu widened his eyes.
“Of course! You won’t leave me alone helplessly, right?” Takaki pleaded him through his eyes.
“Eh, but that’s not what I mean. Oh, fine. I should have known that you’ll drag me along,” Yabu muttered that more to himself.
“Good! Let’s go then!” Takaki pulled Yabu from his bed and left the apartment.

Takaki and Yabu mesmerized with the view in front of them. They faced a big wooden gate with really long brick wall that was supposed to be the fence. They didn’t know that he was THAT rich. Yabu pressed the intercom and introduced himself as Chinen’s friend.
“I’m sorry but Young Master isn’t allowed to meet anyone at the moment. Thank you for your visit and good bye.” Yabu and Takaki looked at each other, didn’t know what to do.
“Do you think I can sneak into this house?” Takaki asked.
“Well, if Chinen has freed himself out of this house, then you can sneak in too,” Yabu shrugged his shoulder off.
They were about to walked around when a car was stopped behind them and then the gate was opened, letting the car in. It seemed that the gate was opened automatically because they didn’t see anyone behind the gate. After the car went in, the gate was closed slowly. Takaki and Yabu looked at each other before nodded and sneaked into the almost closed gate. They hid into a bush near the gate so no one saw them. They peeked through the branches and once again mesmerized at the sight in front of them. There was a garden with full of flowers and beautiful plants. And there was a fountain in the middle of the garden. The car was parking in front of the main house now. Some guys in suits came out followed by an old man who looked so arrogant.
“Who do you think he is?” Yabu asked Takaki, still eyeing the old man.
“I don’t know? His infamous grandfather maybe,” Takaki replied mindlessly. He was looking around the garden to see any chance to get into the house.
“Where will we go now? I didn’t expect this house would be this big!” Yabu said.
“Why don’t we split up? Maybe we can find him faster that way.”
“Hmm, sounds like a plan for me. Just call me if you’ve found him. I’ll go this way,” Yabu pointed the left area of the garden.
“Ok, I’ll take this way then. See you later,” Takaki said, waving his hand slightly towards his best friend.
Takaki walked quietly behind the bushes so no one could see him. Thanks to the gardener who designed the garden it had lots of bushes and plants that could hide him from anyone’s sight. He kept looking around to find any clue where Chinen or his room was. He could just wish no one caught him sneaking into someone else house like that.

Meanwhile, Yabu was wandering alone and actually having fun on his own. He was more enjoying the big house’s garden than looking for Chinen. He mumbled to himself how pretty the garden was and how he wished to live in such big house. Then he stumbled upon a little pond with a white table and some chairs near of it. Sitting on one of the chair, there was a cute girl with boyish hair cut, reading a book. Her skin was so fair and looked so smooth under the sun. Yabu was mesmerized at her and forgetting that he wasn’t supposed to be seen by anyone on that house. That girl seemed to feel that someone was starring at her and looked up from her book. She was startled and harshly stood up from her chair, causing the said chair fell to the ground.
“Who are you?!”
‘Wait, her voice doesn’t sound like a girl’s voice, more like guy’s. And… wait, her chest is so flat! Oh, no! Don’t say that she is… a guy?!’ Yabu was confused by his own thought. He couldn’t believe that he had mistaken a guy as a girl.
“Hello? Are you still with me? Who are you??” He asked again.
“Uh.. ah… umm… I’m so sorry… I know I shouldn’t have sneaked into your house like this, but I have to do it for my friend’s sake. Well, he didn’t have to drag me here along with him either. But he’s so persistent. And yet-,”
“Wait,” the guy in front of him raised his hands to stop Yabu from ranting, “I think I only asked you who you are, and you haven’t answered it.”
“Oh, you’re right. Umm… how should I explain this… Um… My name is Yabu Kota. I’m… umm, Chinen’s friend,” he answered nervously.
“Yuri chan’s? Oh! Wait! Don’t tell me you’re the one who kidnapped him all this time?” His eyes widened on realization.
“No! I didn’t kidnap him! At least I’m not the one who did it…,” Yabu said to himself, but audible enough for the guy to hear him.
“Explain to me then,” the guy was surprisingly calm and gestured Yabu to sit down on a chair beside him.
“Ah, okay…,” Yabu sat down on the chair and started to tell the story.

Inside the house
Chinen was wandering inside the house alone. He wasn’t allowed to go out of the house anymore, at least not for this month. He knew that they couldn’t make him a prisoner in his own house. He still had to attend school and else. But it’s better than imprisoned in his room. At least he still could go wandering around the house to kill his time. He went down to the kitchen to grab some snacks for himself. He saw some of his maids sitting around the table in the middle of the kitchen, pilling some potatoes or slicing carrots and broccoli. They were chatting over something that seemed so interesting.
“I feel sorry for Young Master. He can’t go anywhere now,” said one of them who pilling the potatoes.
“Yeah, he’s overly protected by this family. No wonder he ran away like that,” the one who slicing the carrots added.
‘So this is what they always do when they gather around, gossiping me…,’ Chinen sighed. He was about to turn around to go back to his room but then the next sentences made him stopped from going any further.
“By the way, someone was looking for him earlier. He exclaimed as Young Master’s friend. It’s the first time his friend looking for him to this house,” said someone.
“I’ve never heard Young Master has such close friends actually.”
“Ah, me too! Even though I’ve been working for this family since he’s in kindergarten, he never brought his friend here.”
Chinen didn’t continue listening to their gossip. He knew who that was. He ran to the front door but stopped by some guards on the front. Then he turned back to his room, right to the balcony of his room. He looked around the yard but he found no one. He tried to look over the brick fence but failed miserably. He couldn’t see anything. He was so desperate. He tried to go down through the tree near his balcony. He had done it millionth times already so he didn’t get any injury. After his feet landed on the ground, he looked around once again to check if one of their guards saw him. Once he saw no guards around him, he ready to sneak out of the house once again.
