Motormabikey Madness

Jan 21, 2005 14:00

Who knows anything about motorbikes and engines?

Who can/will help me in perusing/investigating/evaluating second hand bikes that are up for private sale?

Who's going to be my rawkgawdlurv who helps me attain my lil bikey dreamy goodness!?

Hey I think Mikey's bike is 250cc, and he definitely wants to sell it if you're interested. It's very 50's looking.

Can you find out his price? Because otherwise there's a nice deal that I'm investigating at the moment. Honda CB250.
What's is Mikey's bikey?

My bike would not suit you little 'del kitty cutey. Its a year 1947 BSA C11. Its a heavy hobby restoration project sort of bike for people who tinker - not those who need a bike that always works everytime. I think you should get a Jap super bike, like an R1. And like Gevauden says don't ever appear enthusiastic when buying not matter how much you want it. There is always another bike - they make thousands of them.

Love and hugs to you my old friend BTW. miss ya :)

Oh! And if you're looking at a CB250, be double sure to check this stuff out. They're pretty popular learner bikes and can often go through numerous owners who upgrade once they're on their full licence. This can sometimes mean they've been thrashed by people who have had no intention of keeping them long-term.

I'm quite sure Malcolm will help you if he can.
He's about to get a lot more time on his hands.
And he has Monday's off (at this point, given that he doesn't have a job).

Yes we do, but we're going down south for a bbq for a friend who is living in Melbourne and coming back for a few days.
That will probably take most of the day...

teheheh.

here's an article I wrote yeeeears and years ago about buying a secondhand motorbike. I used to have a GN250. I sold it for more than I bought it for, hehehe. Pretty chuffed about that actually.

Now I want one of the new vmoto scooters coming out in Oz in a month or so: they're 125CC and only $3000 new :)

hehehe you are madcap!

I don't really want to invest in a new bike for a first bike especially when I'm so keen to upgrade to a big oomphy machine when I can.

ZZR250, eh? I shall have an investigatey.
