From personal experience, I really suggest you take some pictures of your keyboard before you start pulling up keytops.
You have NO idea how handy this will be when you try to remember exactly where everything goes. Think 'cause you can touchtype you can reassemble a keyboard? ;)
One at a time, from the top, with a small screwdriver or other item. Just pry them off.
You'll be afraid of breaking them at first. Of course, I can't guarantee that you won't break one... with my luck you'll be the first keyboard I'd ever heard of in a long time where the keycaps were glued in or something. Try it first on something you don't use much, like the scroll lock.
But I've met few keyboards where the caps didn't just snap off (in the good sense) and snap back on. And those were years ago.
Anyway, keyboards are cheap. (Though perhaps not if this is a cordless one.)
super, i did it that way, my god the whole thing was so dusty and full of hair, ewwww, looks nice now and i think i have all the key back in the proper place
