I would just like to take this opportunity to welcome wiffleofdoom to my friends list, as well as to the pleasures of LiveJournal. We don't know each other in real life (or at least, not that we know of) but she did grow up about 20minutes away from me in a pleasant little blink of the eye village called Glammis, and apparently we went to high school together ( Read more... )

Glammis - Now there's a name I haven't heard in a very long time.

I remember driving through it often on the way to somewhere else ... but exactly what is on the other side of it from where I grew up, I don't know.

Kind of like that memory of being in Snowball, Ont. I know I drove there... just for the life of me I can't think of why I would do such a thing. ;-)

Glammis is between Narva and Tiverton...how many times were you driving through Bruce County?

And why the anonymous comment when you have an LJ of your own?

Another person who's heard of Glammis? Unbelievable! wiffleofdoom March 9 2006, 17:31:03 UTC
Glammis is a fun place. Honest. You just need LOTS of alcohol (and a truck that runs so that you can get to town). LOL.

Thanks for the welcome, darlin.

It always surprises me when people have heard of Glammis. We keep to ourselves, don't cha know. I spent way too much time in college (and sometimes high school) trying to explain where the hell it was. I gave up eventually.

Man, was I glad when that whole E. Coli thing happened...it gave me a point of reference that was closer to home than Owen Sound or "north of London". LOL

"north of London" doesn't work when you're attending Fanshawe. Basically everyone there could claim that. LOL.
