It's an interesting article.

I can see both sides though. Whereas it is hypocritical to follow only parts of the scripture when you are so adamant about one or two and forget the rest because it doesn't suit you, the Bible does say something to the effect that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because they were so rife with immorality that God couldn't allow them to exist any longer. I believe it mentions more than one thing that the people were doing, like idol worship and such, but the Christian faiths focus on only one. Guess what that is. Such is what happens with any organized religion.

The sad thing is that some people will use anything they can to make their own narrow views valid to themselves and others around them. Actually, we all do it to some effect, narrow views or not. Nature of the beast. We want approval from those around us. Some just go a little more extreme.
