I've never thought of Lucrezia as being as bad as history portrays her. Rumors were started about her by the enemies of the Borgias. I see her more the way the series has painted her so far, as a pawn of her family.

I suspect some of my opinion about Lucrezia is from the book The Borgia Bride.

I had never read anything about the Borgias. All that I knew was from others. I don't think she was this monster they portray her either, but I expect a little more malice from her. Well, maybe later, she's quite young at this moment on the series.
Maybe I think she's too sweet because of the actress. The girl has this cherub face that exhale sweetness ^_^. At the same time she can show all the cleverness Lucrezia has and that's a win for her.

But I also think all the Borgias aren't so horrible as they are known. Not nice people, but who was nice at that time? Being in a position of great power?
