On Tuesday the 8th of April, a gale hit Funchal, and besides the strong wind and much rain, between 9:00 am and 10:00 am it fell more precipitation than in entire months of rain, and since the gone 1960's that this much rain didn't fall in so little time. storm is horrible! Luckily ours would never be that serious.

Ours here is usually not this serious either, it only happens once in every 10-15 years maybe, well at least so far, i am not that sure what will happen from now on, with all this weather changes and so on :(

It sure was, the wind was blowing really strong, i had never seen such thing in my life before, here at Madeira island, quite scary. :(

OMG, this looks so frightening...:( I'm so happy that you and your loved ones were not affected by the storm!!!:)
I've always wanted to live by the sea but after seeing these pictures I'm not that sure anymore...:(

We usually don't have this kind of weather here, it was really a strange storm the one we had on that day, we had had a similar one with worse consequences back in 1993 so i guess these kind of storms will only happen here every 10-12 years or so, so feel free to come here and live near the sea, it's quite safe :)
