I've been wasting time playing a lot of free online poker. But I must say, poker is something I feel I'm quite good at. Especially in the tournament setting. I almost never finish lower then the top 20% of entrants, and in most tournaments you'd leave with as much or more as you payed for entry starting at the top 10%.
Tonight I was in a 3500 player tournament, and got so close to winning (was at the final table), but then lost. I went allin (with Ace 10 suited) preflop after a raise against an aggresive player, who unfortunetly for me actually had a good hand that time (K K). Still wasn't a huge underdog, but it didn't work out. So I finished 7th... which out of 3500 is still pretty damn good I think.
Actually if it had been real money I'd probably be jumping for joy right now, cause I won $9,200 from my original $100 entry fee. Too bad it wasn't real money... instead I'm just bummed that I got so close and then went out all of a sudden and still didn't win.
I so want to go and start playing in real poker tournaments... but I don't think a single person I've talked to about it thinks it's at all a good idea. lol
Just so I could feel like I had something to show for it. :P
