I've been getting back in to pro wrestling lately. I want to get my hands on some SHIMMER DVDs, because I'm really loving the matches I can find, but eh.
WWE has gotten a LOT more amazing lately. SummerSlam was hilarious.
I'm more entertained by the Smackdown! roster than the RAW, despite RAW being the flagship. The Randy Orton/Christian rivlary is one of the most compelling storylines I've seen in a while. Both of them are fantastic performers, and their match was CRAZY. I mean, they destroyed...two tables, a garbage can, an announcer table, and several kendo sticks.
Crazy.
CM Punk/Cena has bored me for a very long time. They're stale characters, never growing, and it's...it's BORING.
My problem with this title feud starts with the fact that CM Punk's contract expired. By all rights, he shouldn't have any kind of legitimate claim to that damn belt. Your contract expires, you forfeit current titles, END STORY.
But, whatever.
Cena got totally screwed out of a fair fight when HHH "didn't see" his foot in the rope. And then CM Punk enjoys a four-minute WWE Championship reign, at which point KEVIN MOTHERFUCKING NASH drops his ass, Alberto del Rio cashes in his Money in the Bank, drops Punk AGAIN, and pins him for the win.
I hate ADR, but godDAMN that was actually really satisfying. Here's hoping Rey Mysterio can beat that title out of him tonight with his rematch clause.
I had more, but it's mostly "whine money whine money whine being screwed over by work whine!", so I'll go on and end this here.
