RIP, Mr. Nimoy

I always tend to roll my eyes when people say things like 'a part of my childhood died', but... well, a part of my childhood did just die. A part of my adulthood, too, and a really awesome part of both, so let's just say it bites pretty damn hard however you look at it. You'll be missed, sir.

I hadn't realised how old he was. Very sad, and I feel older too.

It totally is sad, yes indeed. I legit got all misty-eyed earlier. :( As for age, well... when you consider that I'm the exact same age as Star Trek (well, I debuted 3 months later, but still ;), I'm not feeling any too young myself.

You're a mere stripling! I was in lust with Spock at school.

I just said that. I am so sad right now. I didn't know the man, but heck- he made an impact way back when and it still holds.

Even my mother, whose not truly a scifi person (even though she's at least watched a good deal of Star Trek with me), was bummed. :( He was definitely one of those people who made a serious impact.

He said so many clever things, Spock was always so rational.
My parents, bless their souls, would only have scoffed. Too unreal for them. On the other hand; I've always had imagination enough for a whole village.

It was very sad. I got to see him at Dragoncon one year. He was such an interesting person.
