Why is it that we always get just well enough in time for work on Monday morning? Same here and for the husband too (head colds in our case).

As to Chris Rock, I don't get him either. David kept laughing at his jokes, I just sat there wondering what I'd missed.

Color Purple was a guaranteed winner for me. Spielberg and Whoopie, two winning performances. Amazing that it's a 20 year old film now. Time for me to watch the DVD again. Got a spare hankie?

call me when you're showing it... I'll bring a box of kleenex over and some snacks... if not for the migraine, it would have been a great weekend just to stay in and curl up on the couch and watch old movies(get that, TCP is an "old" movie).

I hear ya brother... I did the in/out of consciousness most of the weekend with the flu. Thank goodness I was strong enough to set the Tivo to record stuff I wanted to watch (which did NOT include the Oscars*g*).

thanks for the Hugs,... I really need to get Tivo. I'm a TV junkie, but only for certain things, and I have been missing a bunch of it lately between falling asleep and not being home. This never happened when I lived on the east coast - winter was for TV and games and writing, summer was for being out and frolicking... in CA those rules don't seem to apply.
