Frustrated by minutiae

I've been trying lately to make my journal look more fun. I have pointed and clicked through every LJ screen I can find my way to, but I can't find a way to replace the title of the sidebars. I liked the idea of having a little extra column to add things to, like this week's comic's list, a comment or quote, or maybe a review or something but ( Read more... )

There isn't an option under Customize>text? Some layouts don't let you customize everything. I still haven't gotten around to figuring out how to completely setup an original LJ template. Maybe one of these days I'll get the motivation. To me it seems like things are written in unnecessarily complicated code. I wish I could just drop journal elements into an HTML page I've developed myself; maybe that's possible and I've just not figured it out yet.

I can customize the font and the color of the text, but haven't been able to figure out how to customize the titles, or the size fo the text in the sidebar... ugh... I've even tried looking at the HTML sections that they allow us access to just to find the word "blurb" and replace it, but with no luck. That's really all I want to do, get rid of blurb and put something more personal.

BTW, this is a great pic. I have a thing for guys in ties!

It just seems like there should be a simpler way of going about things. It seems as if every template is linked to one another etc etc etc so it gets to be an imposibility to find what you'd want ot change.
BTW, thanks.

*table class="sidebar_box" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="4" style=""*
*tr**th* Blurb */th* */tr*
*= < or >

If you can find this line in your html template you can just change the word. Now I'm not sure that you can access that in LJ I know you can in Blogger.
