As far as I understand your journey, the reason you moved to SF was to find out who you really are. The first part was a geographical relocation. Now, it sounds like you are ready for the 2nd phase, "Who AM I?" IMHO, you are exactly who you are, right here, right now. There is no dress rehearsal. If you have the courage to move across the country, you have the courage to find out who Mike is. Sex has always been your biggest (pardon the pun!) identifier, at least to the outside world. But you are so much more. Dare to pursue those dreams-sailing? The Peace Corps?? Only you know what your heart desires. I didn't fall in love with a sex machine. I fell in love with you-your sense of humor, your smile, your laugh and your quirky views on just about everything.
You've gone this far. For all of us who have loved and love you, be true to YOU.
