I feel like a failure today. I wish I hadn’t been sick all week. I wish I didn’t waste so much time. I started a painting and I only like half of it. I will probably never finish it. I am far too critical and not at all patient with myself.

Thanks, Friend. I was feeling quite down earlier and for some reason I just couldn't relax. Maybe lack of sleep had something to do with it. After sleeping all day and spending some time with a good friend of mine, I am feeling much better. :)

THAT'S AWESOME! The lips look really good and I remember you telling me that the lips are the hardest to draw

Thanks :) I think maybe it's not so much that I have trouble drawing or painting lips, but it is sometimes difficult to really make them look like part of the face instead of just looking like they are placed on top of it. Shading areas around the mouth is still something I have to think about and work on for a while to get it just right.
