Watching Life after People inspired some interesting speculations. Metro Cinema at the Citadel Theatre showed an insightful documentary about Glenn Gould. There were two good concerts at the Winspear Centre. My housekeeper and her sister paid me a surprise visit.

That's interesting. Sometimes I visit disused properties in the industrial parks in the northwest of Edmonton. It's amazing how quickly the natural world begins to reassert itself.

We wander through the industrial areas here occasionally, but haven't found any that have been disused long enough for that to start happening. some of the ruins we've explored on vacations have certainly been a testament to the fact that the permanence of civilization is an illusion, at best.
