so i'm addicted to this halflife mod online. it is a world war 2 multiplayer first person shooter called day of defeat. i spend much too much time playing it.

like any other nerdy gamer place, it is filled with nerdy teenaged boys. the weird thing about this place, though, is the bush propaganda. it always starts innocuously enough, someone inserting "kerry04" or "bush04" into thier nickname. someone of opposing beliefs makes fun of them for it, and then everyone starts speaking up. the weird thing is that the amount of young republicans is pretty ridiculous. the teenage boys playing online war games for kerry demographic is tiny. i understand these kids mostly can't vote, but it creeps me out just the same. "BUSH RULES, KERRY IZ ASSDONKY FAGGOTFART PANSY ASSD FUCK". it all begs the question - is there some sort of weird grassroots campaigning going on? i can just see fat middle aged men on the computer pretending to be young, trying to influence our youth via day of defeat. or even worse, fat middle aged men putting thier 14 year old sons up to it. the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
