What is wrong with 30...

I have this bike that i bought from my roommate sara - its pretty much a piece of crap. But that's okay - i kind of like crappy stuff. I still haven't gotten the bike to the point of being 100% ride-able. The last time carlos rode it, he told me the tire was flat. Sure enough, the tire was flat. I tried to air it up, but it didn't seem to work ( Read more... )

Of course, there is an entire story about buying the wrong sized tube because i didn't know how to measure the tire, taking the tire back to the store and having this lady skip me in line 3 times, still not knowing which size tire to get because its a peugeot bike and didn't say the tire size in inches, deciding to just buy the patches instead, then only later seeing in really big letters "27 inches" on the tire. It goes on and on...

i think the hole was in the front tire, but i don't really remember, you probably could have used the pump and listened to where the air sounded like it was coming from or felt for it. there's a hole in mine but i've been too lazy to fix it, that plus having a girlfriend with a car hasn't really motivated me, but i'll probably do it soon.

Generally speaking, i am annoyed with the bike. I've come to realize in my 30 years of life experience that i am not a "fixer-upper" kind of guy. I need to only get things that are 100% working - 'cause i don't like fixing things. I probably did try to fix the wrong tire! :)

Ah mike.. welcome to your 30's. Now you can't make fun of me when I constantly lose my keys, my wallet (and my mind)

I think when you are 30, you are too old to be mugged. My friend Brad, Ryan Mothball, Lisa Youn - all mugged in their twenties. I can't name a single person who has been mugged in their 30's. 30 is the "safe decade."

Well, thanks for spending the time to read the entries. If my misery isn't your entertainment, then i don't know what it is for.

Is that the folding bike that Sara brought to that bike shop that one day after I had passed out drunk on your couch and Arpin ate her vegy pizzas?
