That first quote is fantastic, MG! It's like this voice I need in my head to say "Seriously, calm down and move on. You mad thing." It's like a slightly less esoteric version of the things that go on with Beshara, this non-profit organisation thing... oh it's hard to explain. They're involved with a school in Scotland which runs intensive courses where the students study Ibn Arabi and Rumi and all these wonderful concepts. Rumi's poetry is very dear to my heart, as I'm a Beshara kid.

But sometimes it can be very difficult to understand what's going on in the papers and books they have people read - this is like a clear, friendly way of putting some of it. Without all the scary capitalisation of We and It and Our and That and One, which makes you think you're missing something.

Check Beshara out, if you want - they've rejigged the website a little. Have an explore. They sound a bit mad on occasion but the greatest gift I can ever give anyone is knowledge of Beshara. It may sound like I've been brainwashed by a cult but go, go and

It is great you have made this connection for us... there is so much in Emerson that is deeply connected with Eastern and Middle Eastern traditions of thought. He brings into the west many ideas that are only being rediscovered now. I checked our your link to Beshara... it looks a very enlightened group of people. Thank you for sharing that....
