I've been doing just fine, being lazy and unuseful over the holidays. Should have studied a bit, but as it is...
My classmate's godparents were there when the Tsunami struck, but they were saved. Plus my bf lived there for a while some years back, in an area where someone had taken some pics and put on the internet, showing the catastrophe done... I'm sure no one is left untouched by this.
*hugs you too and congratulates for the job* What do you exactly do? Behind some counter?
On the news they say that a particularly strong storm is gonna hit Finland tomorrow night, between saturday and sunday. Nice to live near the coast, eh?
I can't exactly tell you what my new job is, since I'm under oath; however I can tell you it's about national defence. So I'm not "behind some counter", anymore. :)
I heard about the upcoming storm, as well. I need to go to my summer cabin tomorrow to check that no trees have fallen down on my property. Last Christmas a fir tree came down and broke the electric wires. So yes, it's very nice to live near the coastline.
I spent 900 euro today. I'm horrified, quite frankly speaking. A new bookshelf and new mattresses for my double bed. Now I'm broke again, until the next salary comes in.
Uuuuh, you're almost like an Unspeakable. 'National defence', sounds somewhat fancy o.o It's hard to think that Finland would be under too much threat, though, even if the Aaland people wouldn't want to belong to Finland that eagerly.
Good that you said the word 'cabin'. Gotta mention our cottage to my parents, too :S
Money comes and goes, that's the way it is. But 900 euros is one hell of a painful amount of money to spend, ouch. My sympathies.
been there.

I can't even watch the news. it made me cry. I live in florida, and i've been through hurricanes, which are scary enough with warning, i can't imagine haveing something that horrivble and all consuming take away everything i loved in the blink of an eye. I wish i wasn't so broke, or i'd send something for those poor souls. May your muse inspire you soon, and life stop suckign for all of us. -smiles-

Very despairing, your user pic. Obviously it means that you are feeling quite the same. Wish I could make you feel better, somehow.
