I get frustrated a little more easily these days than I once did. Things get to me. Considering the life I've led thus far I should simply sit back and count my blessings that I have survived thirty-six years and yet there's an unsettled feeling in the air around me lately. As I tend to do when I get into such moods I took a walk, dialed my phone ( Read more... )

I count both of you among my fave presences here on LJ. Knowing that the 2 of you are bonded like this fills me with happiness.

What a beautiful post.

In a world that brings me let down after let down, he has remained one of few constant sources of love. Knowing the man has brought indescribable joy to my life. I can't say it any more clearly than that.

One of true measures of a man in my book is seeing who he surrounds himself with; who he deems important. While I regrettably don't know either of you--the fact that the 2 of you clearly deem the other important speaks volumes about the kind of men you are.

WE ARE BORG! Okay, not really, but... jesus_h_biscuit September 13 2008, 21:58:54 UTC
YAH - Can I just say that I have been a big walking bundle of ill-tempered nerves for almost 2 solid weeks now, and yet after that phoner I feel nothing but calm?

This is what we do, and I cannot tell you how grateful I am for it. You're one of the VERY few that would be able to just walk right in and handle me when I'm just too far gone, I never question that. It's part of why I mentioned the thing about us picking up always where we last left off, we're just seamless at this point.

I feel sad for people who don't have this, because I cannot imagine at this point what I'd do without it.

Love, love, love Nettie!

I am one of the lucky ones, too. My best friend and I met when we were in the 3rd grade. She lives in FL and I moved from there 32 years ago. We can pick up the phone and call one another and it's as if we were together having a conversation face to face and were never apart. What's really weird, we can be thinking of one another and one of us will pick up the phone and call. I am very blessed to have someone like that in my life. It's a shame everyone can't have that special "someone".
