The End? Not so fast!

Last night was historic, there's no denying that fact.  Here are my remarks to those directly involved in the process:

Senator McCain:  Your concession speech reminded us of why the country liked you 8 years ago.  You gracious and dare I say humble in your closing remarks on what was a hard fought and exhausting campaign.  I may not like you as much ( Read more... )

Michelle Obama: Please get a fashion advisor. SRSLY.

Cindy McCain: Half-million dollar outfits still don't change the fact that you look like a drag queen Stepford Wife. Just once I'd like to see your ass in some Jaqueline Smith jeans.

Thank you for your comments on Prop 8. I live in AZ and it has been a bitter day for me, as it is for one of my best friends and his husband in Florida. You very much put it into perspective.

I think McCain had a losing battle. No matter what his direction of "change" was going to be, he was still a Republican, and the anger of the country demanded a change in power and change in party.

I believed-in {and voted for} McCain...but I think no matter how he ran his campaign, this was going to happen.

"This country showed our faith in you and now it is up to you to live up to the hype"

I think it's up to all of us. I actually thought that his speech was great but that he's trying to set the tone for all of us. I also thought he looked exhausted last night. I don't know if it's all the campaigning, the grief, or the reality that holy shit we have a lot of work to do (or all three) - but PE Obama looked tired.

Yeah, I can't believe Prop 8 went that way, not in California.

I kind of like Michelle's dress in a "I'm going to see my kid in the school play" sort of way. Don't worry, Hillary'll sic whoever made her get her 'make-overs' on Michelle darn quick, I'm thinking. Not because Hillary would agree with either of us, but just to, um, 'spread the love.' ;)

Really? I was thinking Oprah might just get on that, the way she was front and dreamy-eyed the entire time in Grant Park...

Ok, so maybe she'll just have Michelle on her show, tell her to look under her chair, and then have Tim Gunn walk out? *grins*
