Working hard to get my fill.

Okay, so 20 degree weather isn't really that bad as long as you're not out in it for more than a minute at a time. I don't know why it didn't occur to me that I was only going to be out in the cold for literally a minute since I was going from the airport to a taxi and then into a building. It's not like I was going sightseeing. So I didn't even ( Read more... )

I really wish it snowed while I was outside 'cos that would've been cool. I've only been in the snow once in my life, and it wasn't even a good snow, it was the kind that melted as soon as it hit the ground. There were some flurries right before my plane left and they had to de-ice it, and that was a first.

ugh, passenger peanut breath is the worst! esp. when they're mouth-breathers who fall asleep in your general direction. yuck.

When is it not ok to discriminate against parents or babies?

Good question. I only know that it's totally okay to discriminate against parents and babies when they interfere with my sleep and/or overall tranquility.

The worst is when parents scream at their kids in order to get them to be quiet. Dude, if you're screaming at your kid, it's probably going to scream back. I don't have a problem with kids per se, (at least not as much as I used to) but my problem is with bad parents/clearly bad parenting.

I'd rather have the parent scream at their kid than not do anything at all. When you just let your kid scream and scream you're basically condoning it. Yeah, every kid is going to cry, but at some point it's like enough is enough. Overall I agree that bad parents/parenting is the biggest crime of all.

looking at things from the parent side, i would like this as well. i'll probably remain too terrified to try air travel with a baby/toddler; but, if i ever did try it, it would be nice to know i wouldn't have to fret over the possibility of my child being loud.

I'd like to believe that the parent of a screaming kid feels bad enough already, but I really think some parents just don't care, or don't know how to quiet their kid down, and that's what bothers me. I can't stand bad parenting!
