I was really surprised when I heard it was Pitchfork's #1 album because it's totally NPR/KCRW/soccer mom-approved. Which is like, totally my scene now.

You've got almost a decade on me, meaning you actually remember most of the music from the 80s back from when it was fresh, so Cut Copy might sound like a retread to you. Still definitely worth a listen if you're into 80s synth-rock revivalists, though.
