It's been more than a month since I posted, I've been really enjoying my tumblr sites, and so I've been posting a lot there. I have been keeping up with my reading (and sometimes even commenting!) on all my friends here, especially glad to have added some new LJ friends in the last couple of months (and glad to see some LJ friends from days gone by

Is it a choice that you're tying yourself to the sewing machine at work? Is everyone else working on the holiday to meet this deadline? I hope your issues with the dress come clearly into focus and that you can break free to enjoy the day!

Well, "choice" wouldn't be the right word... And I am the only one working this weekend, which does make me resentful, can't deny it... I'm the Director of Arts, so when I offered to make dresses for this one piece, it seemed like the right gesture in the collaborative spirit I'd like to see ore of in our department - and it was the right offer... But the amount of other deadlines, and departmental needs, have really tapped my last several weeks so heavily that now I'm just desperately trying to finish what I said I would do by dress rehearsal
