hey, do you want to add a few lines on how to keep those puppies clean? i've done it a couple of times before to the girly-style ones (calculators) and it seems to be working out for me so far.

[p.s sorry about no photos of them on yet ...i'm not one of those fast-movers...]

how have you been cleaning them? i normally dont clean mine, i just wear them until they rot off my feet

very fucking carefully =P i get a damp cloth, wipe off as much dirt as i can. i use one of those spray bottles of stain remover, spray that on, let it sit for a while. then i get a spray bottle full of water and spray them gently all over with it, rinsing off the dirt and the stain remover stuff.

i remember you told someone else that it wasn't a good idea to douse them completely in water, so i thought my way was a safer bet!

thing is, i treasure the shoes so much, i want them to last as long as possible...so i clean them. the design's staying fast too, which is excellent.

the thing is, those shoes werent completely covered in paint, just the little calculators. theyre covered in varnish so they should last forever. the way i do shoes now, i dont think you could use stain remover on them. i cant seal them with varnish if the whole shoe is painted, because it doesnt allow the paint to flex, causing it to crack. i just use fabric medium mixed in, which makes it permanent. once mine get real old and dirty, i'll try different ways of cleaning them to see which way works best.

I loveee the shoes you made her. They're amazing :) I liked seeing the details of the right shoe get put together...if that makes sense to you.
I'm waiting for the day you start taking orders :x haha. Or maybe I'll head over to Danielle Leigh's store...but congrats on that! That's pretty freaking exciting.

And Collegeboard/AP is absolutely ridiculous & full of it! I don't believe they gave you a 3. Your work deserves at least a 4 (and a high 4 too!) They're just stupid :P Whatevs, as long as you know you're a great artist.
