1. Will you be looking for a new job in 2011?
Not actively. I rather like the one I have. If an opportunity turns up that's just too damn good to let go, I'll go for it. I'd also like to make some headway with selling my handcrafts if I can.
2. Will you be looking for a new relationship?
No.
3. New house?
We'd love one. Wish the market would settle down to make it viable.
4. What will you do differently in '12?
Learn some new skills. I've already figured out how to make feta cheese (oh man, it's gooooood), so more types of cheese, a few other bits and pieces. Looking forward to having a vegetable garden (and hopefully some fruit trees) once we've got our own place.
5. New Year's resolution?
Don't make 'em.
6. What will you not be doing in '12?
All manner of things.
7. Any trips planned?
Day trip to Christchurch early next month for the ALFs Imperial Army 40th anniversary (seems just yesterday I was attending the 30th!). Apart from that, no.
8. Wedding plans?
None involving me. We'll be having our 15th anniversary this year.
9. What's on your calendar?
Work, Knitting Squad, Occupy Dunedin General Assemblies/outreach work, craft fairs, learning how to make things, making things.
11. What can't you wait for?
To have a house of our own and to be able to plant a garden.
12. What would you like to see happen differently?
Lots of political things.
13. What about yourself will you be changing?
My hair colour (probably a lot), being more willing to stand on my convictions.
14. What happened in '11 that you didn't think would ever happen?
I joined a political movement.
15. Will you be nicer to the people you care about?
Depends on what you mean by "nice".
16. Will you dress differently this year than you did in '11?
I'd like to start buying stuff that looks good on me, rather than merely fitting.
17. Will you start or quit drinking?
Probably keep things the same. I don't drink often, and not much when I do. No reason to change that.
18. Will you better your relationship with your family?
My relationships with the DH and the Weasel are already pretty good. As far as my family of birth goes, we're about as close as we're comfortable with. As for my father's side, not with a condom on the end of someone else's barge pole.
19. Will you do charity work?
If the Occupy movement counts, sure.
20. Will you go to bars?
I bloody hope so.
21. Will you be nice to people you don't know?
Again, define "nice." If you mean treating them with dignity and respect, I always try to.
22. Do you expect 2012 to be a good year for you?
Yes, I do.
23. How much did you change from this time last year till now?
Heaps. I'm much happier and more settled now. I do need the odd reminder to look outwards rather than inwards at times, though.
24. Do you plan on having a child?
The Weasel I already have is quite enough, thank you!
25. Will you still be friends with the same people you are friends with now?
I hope so. I'd like to.
26. Will you be moving?
Hopefully!
27. What will you make sure doesn't happen in '12 that happened this year?
I'd really like to not tear any more knee ligaments.
28. What are your New Years Eve plans?
Went to spend some time with the Occupiers, then came home for midnight smooch and fizzy wine with the DH.
29. Will you have someone to kiss at midnight?
Totally did!
30. Wish for 2012?
That everyone have everything they need, some of the things they want, and someone to hug when they need a hug.
