A small annoyance

I can't comment from the app using my Bluetooth keyboard. The on-screen keyboard bugs me enough that any comments made from the iThing are likely to be unusually terse.

Even more hilarously, it turns out I can do all my typing with the Bluetooth keyboard, but have to _turn it off or unpair_ before I can actually post the comment. Or post the post, for that matter.

Technology, huh?

How weird. I wonder why it behaves like that?

I do all my LJ/DW reading, writing and commenting via a common-or-garden browser window, regardless of platform. That seems to work just fine with my iThing+bluetooth keyboard. I imagine the client app offers something that makes it superior to using the browser in general, but if it doesn't work with the bluetooth keyboard, that's a serious flaw. Has anyone else reported that problem for the app in question, that you know of?

I'm not all that bothered, tbh. It does work with the keyboard; I just have to turn off or unpair the keyboard in order to post.

So what I do is compose the post or comment, turn the keyboard off for a second, hit post, then turn it back on. No big.

I'll have a look in the bug reports and see if I can find anything at some point if I ever decide I can't live with it any more.
