This back modesty panel sucks. It looks pretty when it's closed but the function isn't much. It doesn't help with lacing burns because it only covers the laces when it's closed. Picking out black thread from black satin coutil sucks on so many levels. If I screw up this fabric I will be devastated. Just once can I please make a corset without any mistakes?!

This was actually my 1st overbust corset to make. Not bad for the first time, right? I'm making another one in black silk for myself. I made some minor adjustments to the pattern - more coverage over the bust so that it is like a sideways U shape and I added more S like shaping on certain panels around the hips.

I've come up with a cheap ass way to sew perfectly straight bone channels. I use a little piece of tape that measures off exactly the right width. Works great! Straight lines excite me.

Just finished the binding on this ivory overbust corset for a friend of mine. God I hate sewing binding. It just never comes out perfect on both sides. The outside looks great, but the inside.. yuk. I need to think of a better way to do it. Anyway, hope she likes it! I'm pretty proud. Now on to making one for myself :)

Just finished drafting a new overbust corset pattern. This one will have 12 panels with no reduction in the ribs or hips and 6" of reduction in the waist. I bought some gorgeous black satin coutil to make this corset in. It will be the perfect addition under a cocktail dress. Almost finished with this corset. I still need to bind it, but otherwise it's done! I am really happy with the shape. I made this for a friend who has the same measurements as me. I can't wait to get it on her. I hope she likes it!
