It looks like they're going to be tackling a "Trying to Conceive" storyline with Lily and Marshall... very brave! Rarely done on television. The last TTC storyline I can remember is Charlotte's, from Sex and the City.
I thought Lily and Marshall's scenes were written very realistically, and the thing feels somewhat timely for me. Co-incidentally, just this month, my husband and I have started trying to have a child. So I am totally feeling Lily's temperature-taking, alcohol-giving-up, fear-of-being-barren-and-letting-her-husband-down angst. I'm right there with you, Lily.
Was it just me, or did BreakupSweatshirt!Robin look kinda awesome?
I've heard they're going to try not to douche Ted up too much this season to make him more sympathetic. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I loved douchey Ted, and I'll miss him.
