On Saturday it snowed 8 feet in Lake Tahoe. The weather man (what an emasculating job!) pointed out the unfortunate irony of having such great skiing conditions when both of the highways leading into the ski resorts are shut down--one of nature's little anomalies: the slopes are perfect, but you can't get to them.
