When Jack says he wants their first vacation to be to a country only rich people know about, Liz thinks he's joking.
"I don't joke about vacation, Lemon. I don't joke about work and vacation is what takes one away from work; treating it lightly would be an insult to both our professions."
"You're... serious about that, too?"
"I'm not sure how much clearer I could make my sincerity."
"Okay." Liz nods. "You want to go to the secret country for rich people."
"One of them, yes."
"You're really not joking?"
He sighs. "I don't understand what the problem is."
"There's no problem, exactly. I just worry about the fact that I've discovered I'm dating a dude who's even crazier than I thought he was."
"I'm as crazy as I've ever been which is to say I'm not crazy at all. I do worry about you, though. You're being more needlessly sarcastic than usual."
"I'm not being sarcastic. I'm also being very sincere. About how I don't believe you and think you are insane."
"Why it is ridiculous, Lemon? Do you not believe the rich have access to things that commoners like yourself can only dream of?"
"Did you just call me a commoner?"
A slight shrug. "In the most affectionate way possible."
"Can I even get into your rich people country?"
"Of course."
"I like how you say, 'Of course,' as if I'm supposed to know the rules of secret countries for rich people."
"I wouldn't ask you if you weren't allowed to go. I'd simply let you lead me to one of your mapped countries." He waves his hand dismissively. "But your net worth has, with my help, gone up substantially, you've passed all the background checks, and you've been seriously involved with a very rich man for over six months. The committee approved you quickly."
"Yeah. You're actually serious."
"I am."
Liz tilts her head. "So, how do I pack for Grenyarnia?"
"To be honest, I'm not sure. Seinfeld only told me the name and I've yet to travel there myself. But don't worry; I'm sure whatever we might need shall be available there."
She nods. "Of course." A tentative smile. "Huh. I'm going to a secret country for rich people." Her smile widens. "That's kind of exciting."
"I know it is. I wish you would've had this reaction sooner; it's what I was hoping for."
She shrugs. "Sometimes I need a while to warm up to things. I needed a while to warm up to you."
"Yes. And honestly, Lemon, I never understood that, either."
"I'll admit I'm forgetting my reasoning on that one."
"Of course you are."
Liz rolls her eyes before she kisses him.
