Liz doesn't think she's good at this lesbian thing. Which probably makes sense, since she's bad at straight sex and she's had... well, not a lot of practice, but more than she's had with girl-on-girl stuff. (This is the third time she's ended up in Jenna's bed... So maybe she is okay. Jenna doesn't have sex with people more than once if they're terrible at it and can't do anything for her career.) Really, it's that she feels awkward... which is how she feels when she's trying to do stuff to a guy. But at least with men, she can get away with lying back and letting them do what they gotta do, but now she's in control of giving someone an orgasm.
It's weird.
What's weirdest about it -- it being the 'going down on a woman' thing -- isn't the act itself. Sure, it's messier than doing it to a man, but there's no penis in her face or fear of activating her gag reflex, and Jenna does really respond to what Liz is doing, which at least makes Liz more comfortable about being down there, though not very comfortable because, seriously, why does oral sex have to be a thing? The weirdest part is afterwards, when Jenna kisses her and says, "I love the way I taste."
"Okay, then." For not the first time, Liz wishes she could get involved with someone without having to deal with the sex stuff.
But then Jenna's hand is between her legs and she thinks, well, at least she doesn't have to do anything for this. And, unlike every dude she's ever done it with, Jenna knows how to touch her.
Liz will give the gay thing a few more tries.
