When the lights go out, Jack wants to keep fooling around.
"Really?" Liz asks, wondering if she's looking at his face. This is where his face was before.
"What else is there to do?"
"Get your cellphone off the night table and see if the blackout is citywide. Light some candles. Worry about the ice cream in your freezer." The mattress shifts as he leans back, fully resting his weight on his knees. Well, she thinks that's what happened. She waves her arm above her to make sure. "This is weird. Get some candles."
"We're both incredibly aroused and entirely naked. Why should a blackout keep us from moving forward?"
"I thought you didn't like doing it in the dark."
"I prefer having the lights on. But when that's not an option, I'm willing to make adjustments. And I do enjoy the element of surprise this affords me."
She gasps when his mouth covers her sex -- how is he down there all of a sudden? -- his tongue sliding over her folds.
