Hi guys - so it just occurred to me that I have no idea how I am going to handle two kids by myself on the way to Chicago next week. Here's the problem.

I need to bring the carseat for Noelle, which would necessitate a Snap N Go. Then I have no stroller for Mike. How do I get around the city w/out a stroller for him?? Not possible. There is going to ( Read more... )

M - are you really going to be in the actual city? if you are, and you can't figure anything else out, you are more than welcome to borrow our bugaboo, volo, or even our double stroller (a bumbleride indie twin). I can get you in touch with rob, or even norma if R is busy, and they'd be more than happy to hook you up :)

ps - I've seen people gate check the city mini double, so I'm pretty sure it would be ok!

That's so sweet of you - thank you!! If you've seen people gate check the city mini, I think that's what I'll do though. It just looks like it's the size of a boat - I can't imagine dealing with security with that thing. But it would be worth it to have Mike strapped into a stroller in the airport as well. "No" is merely a suggestion to him these days, unfortunately!

I'd bring the Maclaren double to gate check and check Noelle's carseat. It's not that long of a flight, right? And in my experience these days there aren't many free seats for infants -- they don't have as many flights running or something. With Katie we almost always got an extra seat and with Annie we haven't gotten one yet (and I've taken like 8 total flights with her).

I do the black garbage bag thing too with the carseat! In fact, on our way back from Omaha I realized DH had misplaced the garbage bag from the trip out, and I begged a garbage bag off of a janitor. :-)
