Last weekend
An incomplete set of World Book and Year Book encyclopedias. (Yesterday I perused 1975, which included some sad looking Nixon photos, and such articles as "Everyone's playing tennis!" and "Plastic surgery can make you look better!")

Yesterday

My father has a pretty solid collection of National Geographic...in fact, the complete set from 1965-1985. My favourite passtime when I'm home is to peruse the ads, looking for "Stylish. Affordable. Geo Metro." ads, and these gems from Tampax:

Suzy Consumer: Do Tampons hurt?
Dr. Tampax: No, when in use, you shouldn't be able to feel it at all.
Suzy Consumer: I've heard that once you use tampons, you're not a virgin anymore!
Dr. Tampax: Most people believe that tampon use does not cause you to lose your virginity.
