Word on the internet (Short North Insider blog) is that Jeni's ice cream's new location will go where Open Book used to be. OMG.

No worries -- it moved a few blocks up the 5th and High. The Short North has spread, and everything that was in the North Short North is moving South. Union Station (now "U") just moved to 1st and High. It's just a shift Southward.

On the plus side, Coffee Table's new owners are smart and they are finally accepting credit cards!

wow, crazy... i want to come back to visit, soon. i'm very happy with my choice of grad program, overall, but i can't help but think of what it would have been like in a different atmosphere. (probably less studying, which, considering how much i do currently, would be dreadful.) but as much as i swore it would never happen... i miss it there.

i think i'm volunteering for pride here in a couple weeks, so maybe i'll actually [gasp] meet gay people! IN BOSTON! who knew?!
