When I went to Victoria, it just so happened that the Queen of England was there too. It was cool getting to see her in person.

The thing that suprised me the most about Victoria was how, as I stood on a street corner waiting to cross the street as traffic permitted, the drivers, regardless of traffic flow or anything else, stopped, allowed you to cross and smiled sincerely as you pass along. Mind you I live in Vegas and pedestrians (read: tourists, read: vermin) are more or less at the bottom of the vehicular food chain. Such a display of both gratuity and patience is foreign to my town. I leave wednesday for Tucson btw.
