Six Degrees of Homicide

Jun 24, 2008 23:02

I can't get to sleep, so here's an old game I used to play, featuring the last several movies I've seen.

Pulp Fiction: features Eric Stoltz and Steve Buscemi, both of whom had guest roles on Homicide: Life on the Street.
Reservoir Dogs: Steve Buscemi was on Homicide (and Michael Madsen reminds me of Daniel Baldwin).
The Queen: James Cromwell had a guest role on 24, as did Zeljko Ivanek, who was a regular on Homicide. (They weren't on 24 at the same time, but IMDb tells me they were in Snow Falling on Cedars together.)
Amadeus: Cynthia Nixon was in Sex and the City with Chris Noth, who was in a Law & Order crossover episode with Homicide.
Brokeback Mountain: Michelle Williams was in If These Walls Could Talk 2 with Paul Giamatti (in different segments) who had a guest spot on Homicide.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Chow Yun-Fat was in Anna and the King with Bai Ling, who was on Homicide (I cheated on this one).
In the Mood for Love: Maggie Cheung was in Heroic Trio with Michelle Yeoh, who was in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, supra.
Raise the Red Lantern: Gong Li (okay, I cheated here too) was in Miami Vice with Colin Farrell, who was in Daredevil with Michael Clarke Duncan, who was in Armageddon with Steve Buscemi, who was on Homicide.
The Thin Red Line: Jim Caviezel was in Frequency with Andre Braugher, star of Homicide.
Days of Heaven: Brooke Adams has been on Monk with Ted Levine, who was in Silence of the Lambs with Jodie Foster, who was in Anna and the King with Bai Ling, who was on Homicide.
American Splendor: Paul Giamatti was on Homicide.
Star Wars: James Earl Jones was on Homicide.
A History of Violence: Maria Bello was on ER with Gloria Reuben, who was on Homicide.
Crash: Elias Koteas was in The Thin Red Line, supra.

Okay, I'm tired now. Oh, look! Richard Belzer is on Letterman tonight.
