The other night, the electricity went out in my entire neighborhood. There was an explosion of light before it went out. It was kind of awesome except for all the dogs in the neighborhood barking for almost an hour (except for ours, oddly) and the power not coming back until the next morning

At least it happened when we going to bed anyway.

But letting my dog go outside the next morning in total darkness was not fun.

I know the feeling. One time I woke up and it was storming outside, hence it was so dark... I couldn't tell what time it is aside to look at my cell phone.
