Now that I've had a day to "recover," I'm ready to talk about Tokyo.

IT. WAS. WONDERFUL.

I could leave it at that, but I think we'd both like it better if I went on from there. (As I have so many pictures and so much to tell, this story will take three entries, one for each day.)

I meant to update earlier this week, but somehow in the fuss of my birthday and everyday school life, I didn't get to it until now.

That's right, this past Monday I turned 21, a very strange milestone indeed. Thanks to everyone who has sent me cards! College kids always appreciate mail, especially when so far away from home :)

Writing in a public journal like this puts one in a strange position. My audience is broad, potentially infinite. It is almost like giving a speech in front of a crowd that I cannot see the size of, whose voice I hear now and then as proof of its existence ( Read more... )
