I'm not sure exactly what it is, but the backdrop has little contrast from the figure. Unsure of how it could be better, but that's my thought.

But I agree with the above. At first I couldn't tell what it was until I stood up and looked down at my screen. Still don't know what it is exactly but atleast I could see the figure, lol. You could lighten the body more but it might lose the whole glowing in the darkness feel. XD;

I'm not an art major or anything, but I think some sort of deep deep dark red would look neat in the background. That is, if it doesn't clash with the orange.

No, No. Give it a stone background so it looks like it's emerging from some deep cavernous recess.

I think you need to brighten the oranges, Give it more of a magma for blood sort feel. Kinda like it's molten underneath but solid and cracked on top. Maybe it could drip, Like it's constantly bleeding between the cracks?
