HOLY MOTHER OF CHEESE FRIES AND GORILLAS!!!! I JUST SENT IN MY EMORY APP! omg! i feel incredible! (well more tired than incredible, but still). it was so bad. i wrote most of my stuff and was basically ready by monday night. my dad comes in my room and says i need to redo all 5 of my essays if i have any chance of getting in to EMory. so i worked ( Read more... )

I had exactly the same reaction when I sent in my Princeton app. It's like a boulder (not just a weight--a boulder) was lifted off my shoulders. I was shaking when I pressed that "submit" button.

Of course, I realized about halfway through English the next day that I misspelled knowledge at least twice on one of my short essays (that I [rather stupidly] didn't bother spell-checking).

Now if only my parents will start that financial aid application...

lol the exact? even with the words "HOLY MOTHER OF CHEESE FRIES AND GORILLAS?" idk thats pretty unique right there. but yea, it is def awesome getting that burden boulder rolling down the rocky hill towards colleges. hopefully, it will break up into smaller boulders, annihalating each college and making this entire process done with. (or i could just end my extended metaphor right?) that sucks about misspelling knowledge! (how did you spell it? lmao) oh well its already done. no use in crying over orange juice in the garbage. right? lol ttyl

knowlege <--I forget the "d" and spell check just always adds it in for me.

Interesting metaphors, but then that could be expected from you. On that note, a rolling stone gathers no moss. So keep on rolling (think that 70/80's song...). I think crying over spilled milk would be a more accurate metaphor for me. :)

You'd probably just go buy another couple gallons per spilled glass, so I don't think it'd do you too much harm... ;)

eh the math was pretty bad for me. i havent learned most of that stuff. (my calc teacher went over the series today in class, and it turns out it did go to infinity using a real n series. oh well!) the science actually wasnt too bad. i missed some old stuff, but for the most part thought i did ok. whatever. (i included being a SSS nominee in my app hehe)

nah, i'm pretty sure that one didn't go to infinity, using the terms they gave you--you had to pull out the two 1's then apply infinite geometric series twice.

If it's infinity, that's a flawed question because of the numbers provided...
science...ugh, biology and optics massacred me

it does go to infinity and isnt flawed. if u remember the last two terms in the series, they had a distinguishable pattern. so, u do n summation from n=4 to infinity for that pattern, and add that to the first 4 terms. it becomes infinity + the first 4 terms = infinity.

yea the bio wasnt too bad for me. i did mess up on optics (mirrors and refraction...blegh!), and i forgot one part about electrochem. oops!

Good luck!
At times like these, it's good to be a junior. Not smug at all.
