Don't do it! That video card is shit!

Not to mention Dell will fuck you in the ear any time you try to get something fixed under their "warranty."

Also, the RAM on that system is shit. As are the rest of the parts (it's a Dell, after all).

I just pieced together a much better system on www.newegg.com for $581. You'd have to put it together (not difficult), and it wouldn't have a legal copy of Windows (something that can easily be taken care of), but it would be way more powerful than that Dell.

Let me know if you're interested in putting it together yourself (or having me do it, if you're going to be out here any time in the near future). If not, you can always call me and I can tell you what to look for in the video card (the main place that system is lacking).

I just want Joey to have something that plays WoW w/o crashing. He doesnt NEED snazzy snazzy but for a little more money we wouldnt mind getting something that will last him a while.

He doesnt need a monitor, speakers, keyboard/mouse or that stuff. He also already has a USB linksys wireless thing so we wouldnt be worried about that. He has a Gateway (yeah I know...) and we cant upgrade that so we need something else.

So anyways let me know what ideas you have, something that will work, but he doesnt need it to be overkill (hed never use anything over 80+gig HD for example) though sadly the larger ones are cheaper than the smaller ones lol.

Want to pay off something first, then we can get this say Novemeber-ish? So if we are building it we can get sales and such. Okay .... think you got the picture lol

Yeah, the pricing I set up did not include a monitor/keyboard/mouse/speakers, just the system itself.

The system specs were not overkill by any stretch (the video card, for example, is considered a higher-end budget card, but it still OMGWTFPWNS the x1300). Let me list it off:

AMD Athlon 3500+ (Socket AM2)
Gigabyte (brand) Socket AM2 motherboard with GeForce 6100 Chipset (full ATX sized) with on-board surround sound, network card, and a bunch of other stuff
1GB OCZ (brand) DDR2-667
80GB Western Digital (brand) SATA Hard Drive
ATi Radeon x800GTO video card (really good for the price, generally considered the best bang-for-the-buck card ( ... )
