I know I’m supposed to be working on EM like I said I would, but whatevs, I’ve come to actually like this series. I like trying to make a sort of believable relationship between these two, so if that makes me pretentious, well, che sarà, sarà. Writing this much puts me in a good mood, and I have another fic almost finished. This snippet, though,

I feel like this fic is very self- indulgent, mainly because you keep putting in stuff that I like, so you are somehow indulging me, so I have to assume you are also indulging yourself. I APPROVE. all my writing is crazily self-indulgent, but maybe that's not something to boast about? I DON'T KNOW, KEEP WRITING THIS STUFF, OKAY?

Not-so-secret secret, all my stuff is self-indulgent by nature.

Although I must admit, to deliberately declare such indulgence brings to light the question of whether or not the claim of being self-indulgent can be purely self-indulgent if, by intention or lack thereof, more than one instance of "self" is to partake in said indulgence. Then perhaps there is truly no such concept as self-indulgence, and this particular notion, alongside any and all ideals inherently associated with it, is self-indulgent in and of itself.

...oh god, I really shouldn't try to think anymore, but I’m just happy(ed) we like the same things; it makes me feel better to know I’m not alone in indulging in my own reckless button mashing, because you like to mash the same buttons, too. Including the one for Sasuke's puffy-cheeked glare. Yes, I think that’s what I was trying to say.

Maybe it's just a shared self-indulgence, have you ever considered that?

It's still self-indulgence, because you're indulging yourself first and foremost. Just because by chance, you also indulge someone else doesn't change the fact that the intention was only to indulge yourself.

But for me to consider something that's actually logical? Please, with my sleep deprived mind, of course I wouldn't think of that kind of thing. How dare you insinuate otherwise--what do you me take for? Someone with common sense?

I swear I'm going to find some way to blame all of this on Sasuke
